If the parents die and there are no other adults in the house, the kids get “taken away”. I had that happen to me, too. The kiddo AND the cat got taken away. It sucks. Oh no, I didn’t know that .. I hoped they would come back if they grow up - thanks for the clarification tho.

I've noticed that in the previous games, there will be two scenarios, where the kids be either teens or children. In other games, if there are teens in the household, the social worker will not appear. But if there's only children, the social worker will appear and take the childrens away.

What happens to a child if parents die?-. Sims 4. I was playing Sims 4 and created a mother (young adult) and her daughter (child). The mother then caught fire and died, it came up saying 'Game Over' and that Crystal (the child) was sent to a nanny to be looked after.

With no parent left on the lot they are taken by social services. In sims 2 kids who are taken away can come back by being adopted by a different household, but in sims 3 and 4 they just go away and cant come back. 9. level 2. cutieflan.

Yes, the sims will die/become ghosts in unplayed households. They unfortunately do not have story progression, so they won't get married / have children / etc without you doing it manually by playing them.

This is just the nature of The Sims 4 and how it works. Students sent to live in a dorm or a house for uni become a seperate household no-longer connected to the other household. If you have all the aging settings on, then those other Sims will age and die like normal while you are playing the new household.

It seems that any sims that lives on a lot should have their tomrbstone or urn show up on their lot after death regardless of where they died. Many players have multiple households that they are playing especially when you have children and move them out and split your time between the households.

Never actually done this, but I believe if it's an active household and the last two sims die, you get sent back to the map and select a new household to play. Where households with no adults to take over when children and teens are in place, I think they get picked up by child services and you may be able to move them into a new household, but this is something I never ran into, so pure speculation.

Sims I've never even touched are having babies, getting married, and moving into houses all on their own. Will Sims have babies on their own? It can be quite random when townies have children on their own, but it does happen. One thing you might try is giving them the Family Oriented trait when you seed a town. This can make them more likely to ...

When all Sims die in a household, or there are only children in the household (as in the case of The Sims 2 and later games), a game over occurs. In The Sims 2 , any orphaned babies , toddlers , or children will be taken away by an on-screen social worker , whereas in The Sims 4 , a message indicating that the orphaned Sim(s) will be cared for by social services will appear.
